The PHS chapter of Quill & Scroll International Honorary Society for High School Journalists earned nine inductees from the yearbook and Mass Communications staffs April 28 in the Fieldhouse. Executive Editor of the Parkersburg News and Sentinel and The Marietta Times Christina Myer attended and gave a speech before journalism adviser Beth Koreski presented badges to the inductees. To be inducted students must be a junior or senior, have a 3.0 GPA, be a two-year member of a PHS Media staff and must have done superior work in some phase of high school journalism.

“I think this honor is really important because it showcases to others the impact that journalism has, especially on our community and society,” said Davis, who is assistant editor of the yearbook. “Getting to showcase my hard work and time put behind what I love doing gives me a lot of pride and honor behind what I’m doing and creating.”
