Be a good man and join this musical! PHS Players are holding auditions for their spring show, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” on Wednesday, Nov. 5. They will be held in the auditorium beginning after school. Information packets can be picked up in room 211C. All students must have the audition form filled out with a parent/guardian’s signature and turned in to Lori Zyla by the audition date. Those who are interested can attend a pre-audition workshop on Thursday, Oct. 30 in the auditorium at 3:25 to become comfortable with the music. Students should not stress about auditions as they are low pressure.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the “Peanuts” comic strip by Charles M. Schulz and “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” will be the first children’s show the Players have performed in 16 years, which makes this performance even more special.
“You can create great friends and memories of high school that are going to last forever,” Zyla said about being in a show. “It stretches you in a lot of creative ways and you might be surprised by how much fun you have.”
Students who want to be involved behind the scenes should contact Zyla or the Technical Director, Lily Farinash, for more information.
