Every year on Feb. 14, people all over the country are getting ready for romantic nights out with their loved ones while others are snuggling up on the couch to watch a rom-com and binge eat chocolate. What are you doing this year for Valentine’s Day? Here are some ideas for how to spend this day, depending on what situation you’re in:
Single:
If you plan on spending this Valentine’s Day at home by yourself here are some ideas to keep you company. Get into some comfortable clothes like a hoodie and sweatpants and gather up lots of comfort foods. The best foods are anything such as chocolate, ice cream, any kind of pasta, or fast food such as pizza or Chinese takeout. Then snuggle up in your bed or on your couch and start binging a romantic movie. Some popular rom-coms are “Valentine’s Day”, “10 Things I Hate About You”, “The Notebook” and “Dirty Dancing”. To make the experience better you can throw in a face mask to pamper yourself but otherwise just relax and enjoy some time to yourself.
In A Relationship:
If you are going to spend this Valentine’s Day with your significant other, here are some ideas to make the day memorable for the both of you. One essential is a nice meal, whether it be at a fancy restaurant or homemade. If you want to go out, some nice options in and near Parkersburg are Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, da Vinci’s, Cheddars, and Tokyo. You can show your appreciation to each other by exchanging thoughtful gifts or making something together. Other than that, just use this Valentine’s Day to spend some quality time together. You could have a game night, shopping spree or something else fun to get you laughing together and making memories.
Friends:
If you aren’t in a relationship but don’t want to be alone, plan a fun night out with your friends. To make the night extra fun, have everyone meet before dinner and get all dressed up to go out. You guys could either go to your favorite restaurant or you could try someplace new. At dinner you could exchange gifts, whether they be gag gifts or serious gifts. After dinner, do something fun like bowling or karaoke. You could even go to a live concert or show.
No matter what situation you find yourself in this Valentine’s Day make sure to make the most of it and have fun.
