6arelyhuman, known for bringing scene-inspired music back, has been making music since 2019. After majorly growing in popularity by collabing with Odetari, 6arelyhuman has since put out several new songs. On April 3, he released a much-anticipated album. Since it was delayed for unknown reasons in March, fans were overjoyed at the official release. Now that I’ve listened to the album, I can clearly see why.
The album was off to a great start with “Faster n Harder.” The energetic beats and lyrics make it fun and entertaining. There were lots of pop culture references in the song, which are fun Easter eggs to look for.
I give “Faster n Harder” an 8/10.
With how great the first song was, I expected the next to be as great, if not better. However, I was a bit disappointed. “I Know” isn’t the worst song on the album, but its repetitive chorus isn’t catchy enough to make the track better.
I give “I Know” a 4/10.
“Level Up!” featuring Odetari, is an amazing song. It’s my favorite on the album, and one of 6arelyhuman’s best. The collaboration with Odetari makes the song perfect, with the two singers’ different vocal ranges mixing.
I give “Level Up!” a 9/10.
The next song, “DANCE! Till We Die,” is fairly decent. While it’s not the best, it’s greater than a lot of the songs. There’s nothing too remarkable about it, so there’s honestly nothing much to say.
I give “DANCE! Till We Die” a 6/10.
“Take A Pic,” the fifth song on the album, is also just alright. The collaboration is considerably worse than the one with Odetari. This song features Asteria, a fellow singer. Asteria is also a producer for several songs on the album, so I think he should stick to that and leave the singing to 6arelyhuman.
I give “Take A Pic” a 5/10.
The next song, “Like A G6,” is a cover of a song with the same name. The original, created by Far East Movement, is not as great as the cover. Both are certainly good. 6arelyhuman just puts a fun and unique twist on the classic party song.
I give “Like A G6” a 7/10.
“Parking Lot” is another good song for partying. A bit calmer than the others, it would have been an excellent way to end the album. It can feel repetitive at times, but it does it much better than “I Know.”
I give “Parking Lot” a 6/10.
The last song on any album should always be a strong finish. However, I find “Cut Me Down” disappointing. It’s mellow, but not in a good way. It’s quite boring and so repetitive it makes “I Know” feel like nothing. I definitely would have switched the order and ended the album with “Parking Lot” instead of this song.
I give “Cut Me Down” a 2/10.
Overall, I enjoyed the album. It’s a quick listen, with most of the songs being an average length of two minutes. This album is best for hyperpop fans or anyone looking for fun, energetic beats. Even though some songs are mediocre at best, the better songs overshadow them. Everyone should give this unique album a listen.
I give “Internet Famous” a 7/10.
