Candidate: Hayden Hemmings
Q: Why are you running?
A: I am running for Student Council because I want to appropriately represent my school, and the students that attend it.
Q: What are your plans and ideas for next year’s Student Council?
A: I plan to promote inclusivity, and listen to my follow peers, and teachers within the school. While I have exact events in mind, I want to focus on keeping an open mind towards the innovative ideas of other students.
Q: What are your qualifications for being president?
A: While being Student Council president is a large responsibility, I believe I am as motivated as any other student in the school. Like them, I am human, but I am also a people person, with a passion to implement change that can improve the high school experience for everybody; teachers and students alike.
Q: Is there anything else you would like voters to know?
A: N/A
Candidate: Sophia Beam
Q: Why are you running?
A: I am running for Student Council president because I want to come up with new ideas. I want new Spirit Week ideas and want to have more people participate.
Q: What are your plans and ideas for next year’s Student Council?
A: I want to have new Spirit Week ideas, a new hoco theme, and try and make people want to join Student Council.
Q: What are your qualifications for being president?
A: I am organized, I am also apart of the PHS girls track team so I know how to work with people, make speeches, and most importantly how to listen to others ideas.
Q: Is there anything else you would like voters to know?
A: That I would love to have the opportunity to be president.
Candidate: Tyra Green
Q: Why are you running?
A: I’ve always had a burning passion for giving back to the school community, and I think my background and commitment to this position make me an amazing fit.
Q: What are your plans ideas for next year’s Student Council?
A: I want to create an inclusive environment so that every student feels heard and respected. Students would have a voice and be more involved, in my opinion, if they could scan a QR code to share their ideas, concerns, and feedback with the Student Council.
Q: What are your qualification for being president?
A: I have been a member of the Student Council for 2 years, and this year served as president. Some other clubs I have been involved with are NAHS as their treasurer and Junior Cabinet.
Q: Is there anything else you would like voters to know?
A: I’ll support innovative ideas that improve our school, whether they involve new ideas, events or better resources. We can create an environment where everyone succeeds if we work together. To help make this idea happen, I kindly ask for your vote. Thank you.
