Places to visit in Parkersburg and Vienna to find the perfect prom dress

With prom approaching in a couple of months, prom dress shopping follows. Dress shopping is an exciting but also dreadful experience. There are just so many questions to consider. What color do I wear? What style is popular? Where do I find one that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? These questions can cause prom dress shopping to be more stressful than enjoyable. To make things easier, these are some of the best places to search for a prom dress in Parkersburg and Vienna.

Too Small Shop

Located at 1100 Murdoch Ave. this shop is perfect if you’re looking for an affordable dress. Prices range from $35-$280. It is a consignment shop that has many selections of colors and styles with sizes ranging from XXS-4X. They sell both new and gently used dresses. You are able to find brands that you would find in stores like Windsor, Terani Couture and Elizabeth Michaels. I personally shopped here to look for my homecoming dress last year and found many beautiful, unique dresses. So if you’re looking to stand out this prom season but you don’t have a lot to spend, give this store a look.

Elizabeth Michaels

Located at 1411 Grand Central Ave. this boutique is a great place to check out this prom season. Their prices range from $300 to $1,300. They carry brands like Sherri Hill, Rachel Allan and Jovani. They have many elegant short and long dresses, and any color or style that you could think of. It is a great shop to check out, especially if you’re looking to splurge a little.

Windsor

Located in the Grand Central Mall, this dress shop is perfect if you’re looking for a mid-priced dress. You are able to shop in-store or online. The prices range from $40-$150 for long dresses and $35-$55 for short. They have a great size range including both petite and plus-size options. They have all sorts of different colors and styles of dresses, and a selection of heels to pair with it.

JCPenney

Located in the Grand Central Mall, although normally not known to be a dress store, is JCPenney. They have a great selection of both short and long dresses, with sizes ranging from XS-XXL or 0-15. For long dresses prices start at $99 and end at $300, short dresses $20-$100. While it doesn’t have as many options as the other stores do, it has a great selection.
