National Honor Society held their induction ceremony in the auditorium on the evening of Monday, Jan. 29, officially accepting new members into the school’s largest honor society.
The ceremony began with the initial introduction by Principal Kenny DeMoss followed by a reflection and congratulations by NHS president Aaron Grose.
“It (being NHS president) is not as stressful as I had presumed it might be,” said Grose. “But I enjoy being able to make an impact on our community by leading our honor society.”
After Grose’s speech, 32 new members were inducted by NHS officers Grose, vice president Meredith Poole, public relations officer Isabel Bhati and secretary Olivia Whaley.
“NHS inductions are very ceremonial,” said Bhati. “All of the officers, our adviser, and the principal speak, outlining the honor of entering the organization.”
